South African filmmaker Sharon Farr has worked extensively in Africa and Asia, receiving numerous local and international awards including World Awards at the Asia Media Summit for 2006 Best Documentary Promoting Religious Understanding and Tolerance with Good Vibrations, and 2007 Best Documentary on HIV for Masindy’s Story. Her documentary feature Love, Communism, Revolution & Rivonia: Bram Fischer’s Story was voted Best South African Documentary at the 2007 Encounters Film Festival.
